Food-N-Co supports the creation of European projects with partners from EU and non-EU countries in the research fields “Food Quality and Safety” (FP6) and “Food, Agriculture and Biotechnology” (FP7).

It is an important strategic objective for the European Commission to cooperate with countries outside Europe, whom they address as International Cooperation Partner Countries or INCO-countries. Organisations from these countries, however, face a number of difficulties when trying to get involved in EU-funded projects. It is not always easy for them to find the right contacts and they are not always familiar with the rules and regulations of EU funding schemes. Moreover, European consortia setting up a project proposal do not always know where to look for suitable INCO-partners.

The Food-N-Co project has been set up to tackle these problems. The project groups 20 National Contact Points from all over the world, helping SMEs and researchers from INCO-countries to take part in the European research projects co-financed in FP6 and FP7.

How can you benefit from Food-N-Co?

Food-N-Co aims to give more visibility to organisations INCO-researchers and SMEs in Europe and, vice versa, to give more visibility to European researchers and SMEs in INCO countries. How can you benefit from it to find partners for your European projects?
