Food-N-Co is all about active participation of INCO-countries in European Food Research.
All partner countries have a large interest in participating in European Food Research, although not all for the same reasons. Some countries are major exporters of agricultural products to the EU, other countries would like to develop their research capabilities in collaboration with Europe. A few would like a better cooperation in European Research in general and some even plan to become Member States.
Food-N-Co is not a closed-shop project. It shall remain open for collaboration with additional partners wherever relevant and not implying changes in the EU grant.
The consortium consists of seven EU member states and thirteen INCO-countries covering all regions of the world.
| Region | Partner Countries |

European member states have officially appointed National Contact Points, acting as intermediaries between de European Commission and the national research communities. In other countries contact points are not always officially appointed or not always representing the entire country. For this reason the Commission prefers to indicate them as Information Contact Points.
Whatever the title, all of them are highly skilled people, having direct access to the research communities and key stakeholders in their homeland. This ensures that the objectives of the project will be met.
Below you can find detailed descriptions of the partners, showing that majority of experts involved have a background in food, agriculture or biotechnology research, facilitating the specific thematic understanding of researchers’ needs on the way to successful cooperation in FP6 and FP7 projects. Moreover, many have extensive experience in research management and administration.
