The partners in Food-N-Co act as a contact point between the European Commission and the research community and industry in their home land. It is their task to provide information, advice and assistance to organisations that wish to participate in Framework Programme projects.

Food-N-Co aims to improve the quantity and quality of participation from International Cooperation Partner (INCO) Countries in all types of projects on Food, Agriculture and Biotechnology related research in the 6th and 7th EU Framework Programmes

This overall objective will be reached by:

• Improving the quality of the services offered by the Contact Points (ICPs) in INCO countries by offering a series of training sessions tailored to their specific needs.
• Raising awareness in research communites in INCO countries by setting up national training sessions on FP7 topics.
• Creating a lasting network of Contact Points both inside and outside the EU by working closely together and exchanging experience and expertise.
• Increasing the visibility of researchers and companies from INCO-countries by collecting and validating their profiles in a partner search database.
• Direct matchmaking between researchers in Europe and INCO-countries.
